This morning I got up as well as headed to long beach for my long run. Steve, a coach with Sole Runners, invited me to run with his group training for the LB Marathon as well as Half.
Steve is one of my ING class of 2012 teammates. We satisfied in new York while shooting as well as it turns out he lives outside of LA as well as has been coaching in long beach for 7 years!

He invited me to find out as well as run with the group a few times recently, however it never worked out. lastly today I was determined to get down there. I really like LOVE long Beach. My ex-bf lived there while I was in college as well as I spent most of my weekend there for Camiseta Crystal Palace FC years. Then, I moved there for a year a year later (we ran quite close to my old neighborhood!).

Okay, back to running…
I called Steve this week since I requirement help. I hadn’t set a goal for new York, I wasn’t sure if/how I was going to do long beach as well as last year’s LB race truly trashed my body as well as confidence.
Steve teaches Chi Running so we started with some talk about that. He provided me this book to checked out too…
Today the full marathon group had 2 choices – a 4 hour run OR 2:15 today as well as 2:15 tomorrow. They are already quite ramped up for LB (which is 4 weeks before NY) so I did the 2:15 today. Steve states new research study is showing back to back longish runs benefit your body the exact same as a long run does, however with less healing time.
I’m scared as well as skeptical about this theory at the exact same time, however I’m providing it a go this weekend.
I feel like I discovered A great deal today!

I requirement to eat more on long runs. <- he states eat every 30-45 minutes from the extremely start. I requirement to run with a group more! <- I was so happy to feel part of the team, even though I didn’t understand these people. Running is difficult as well as people make it feel happier. The aide stations… Steve ran with me the entire time as well as we stopped at 2 aide stations. At the end I was drenched in sweat, had drank a ton of water as well as was still thirsty. Every run thing should end with watermelon. After the run the group does yoga, however I had Camiseta Olympique Lyonnais to slip away. Ben had come along to trip his bike in LB as well as was waiting on me. By the time I got to the vehicle he was quite hungry so I suggested we go to a Diners, Drive-ins as well as Dives location I’ve understood about for ages.

I’m so pleased I brought a possibility of clothes since I was soaked with sweat as well as we were waiting outside for about 25 minutes.

I ordered the veggie omelet with the sour cream on the side (so I might provide it to Ben).
It includes a option of bread as well as I selected the blueberry muffin. They make the muffins in house, however I wasn’t in like with it as well as passed this on to Ben too.

Overall: I would definitely come right here again! It is in a gorgeous place as well as our wait wasn’t as well long (I believed it was going to be an hour based on the triple D episode). I would state 85% of people waiting hit up the bar as well as were drinking mimosas or bloody marys.
Dinner was easy…
